To kick off 2018, I've decided to give myself permission to write about whatever the heck I want to — hence the new blog, Red Pencil Scribbles. I will still write Small Ways blogs sometimes, but Scribbles is a way I can encourage myself to get a little more creative... and not just on my clients' behalf. ;)

What will I write? I don't know yet. But I invite you to stick around to see.

New blog posted weekly in Red Pencil Scribbles, Small Ways, or Nice Thing o' the Week. To receive updates, find me on Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter.

At the age of 42, I’m a woman taking my first solo camping trip. It’s just an overnight, but it feels a little momentous. I wish I weren’t so fixated on my cell phone.

Scribbling for myself

Scribbling for myself

The question of whether you're writing for yourself or for an audience has always plagued those who write. It's nothing original and nothing new.

The first and last time I'll get to cross Paul Simon off my bucket list

Paul Simon doesn’t need an opening band. Anyway, we’re here to see him. Because he’s not even supposed to be here. See, Paul Simon officially announced his retirement from performing last year, in 2016.
